GO OVER HANDOUTS

When will Christ return?

What will be the sign of his return and of the end of the age?

These are not new questions.  Jesus’ disciples asked these same questions.

READ  Matthew 24:1-9   verses 10-29  talk about the great distress and recognizable signs of the “End of the Age” and of Christ’s return.  (Also Mark 13 and Luke 21:5-36)

Verses 32-34   tells us that once the signs begin then know the end will come relatively quickly.  READ verses.

Prayerfully reading the bible, reading bible-based books and articles, and listening to sermons from numerous bible teachers, a person quickly recognizes that the restoration of Israel is the first sign of the “End of Days”.

Jesus told his disciples that “no one knows the day or the hour” but Jesus did provide us with recognizable signs that indicate his return.

Tonight, we are just pointing out what Jesus said about the signs of His return and the amount of time for all the signs to be accomplished.
Before we talk about recent fulfillment of biblical prophecy and the current nation of Israel we should briefly look at ancient Israel.

The bible tells us that God chose the descendents of Abraham-Isaac-Jacob to be His special people.  God’s special people were called Israelites and later referred to as Jews.

God gave the Jews specific laws in order to guide them as individuals and as a nation.  God told the Jews that there would be consequences for disobeying His laws.  In Leviticus 26:14-46 we read about the consequences of disobedience to God.

In Jeremiah we read about Israel’s disobedience which resulted in Babylonian captivity.

    Babylonian captivity in 605 BC,

God sent the Jews into exile

because of disobedience.

                                                                                                                                          Jeremiah 11:1-14;  25:1-14;

                                                                                                                                                  Jeremiah 32:30-35

                                                                                                                                                      Ezekiel 4 – 12

                                                                                                                                                  Leviticus 26:14-46

There are approximately 800 years between when the Books of the Law were given by God and the time Jeremiah warns of God’s judgment because of Israel’s disobedience which resulted in 70 years of Babylonian captivity.

In Ezekiel we read about Israel’s disobedience and God’s punishment which started with Babylonian captivity and continued until 1948.

We also read in Leviticus, Jeremiah and Ezekiel that once the punishment has come to an end then God remembers his covenant with Abraham-Isaac-Jacob; God remembers the land that He caused to be desolate; and he remembers his people that have been scattered around the world.

God brings his people back and God causes the desert to bloom again and be productive for his people.

What makes 1948 special?

RESTORATION OF ISRAEL

In 1948 God restores Israel in such a way that Isaiah 66:7-8 are fulfilled.   READ

By the stroke of a pen the nation of Israel is born in a day.

In Amos 9:14-15 God declares that He will restore Israel and never again will they be uprooted from the land.

              ·        The years of exile are completed.  Leviticus 26:40-45

·        God’s judgment in regards to Ezekiel 4 comes to an end.

·        Nation of Israel born in a day.  Isaiah 66:7-9

·        God restores Israel and never again will Israel be removed.

Amos 9:14-15

·        First time in 2,500+ years that Israel is a sovereign self-ruled nation.

Because of God’s promises to Israel, the attempts of Muslim nations to eliminate Israel are futile.

Israel did not have to fight to be born as a nation but they have had to fight to remain a nation.

The restoration of Israel is the major pivot point historically and prophetically pointing to the return of Jesus Christ as King of kings.
Another sign is:

WAR AND RUMORS OF WARS – Battles involving Israel

·         1948      War of Independence      Israel 1/6 of NC    Enemies ½ of USA

·        1950s     The Retribution Operations

·        1964-67 War Over Water

·        1967      Six-Day War       Enemies trained and equipped by Russia

·        1967-70 War of Attrition

·         1973      Yom Kippur War    Enemies trained and equipped by Russia

·        1978      South Lebanon Conflict

·        1982      Lebanon War

·        1985-2000   Fighting South Lebanon

·        1987      The First Intifada

·        1991      Gulf War (Israel was attacked but did not fight)

·        2000      The Second Intifada

·        2006      Lebanon War

·        2008-09 Gaza War

List of major battles not the daily fighting.

Even today Israel’s enemies are being trained and equipped by Russia and unfortunately Israel’s enemies are also being trained and equipped by USA.

Within the last few years an alliance has formed.

First time in 2,500+ years there is a military alliance between

Magog, Persia and Put (Russia, Iran and Libya)

Ezekiel 38:2-6

That is the alliance leading up to the Battle of Gog and Magog in the ‘End Days’.

If we look at the situation that exist today in Israel, in the Middle East and around the world we may ask ourselves, “What in the world is going on?”. (Title of Dr. David Jeremiah’s book)

David is coming up to go over the rest of the signs.
 (DAVID)

REGATHERING THE JEWS

·        Isaiah 43:5-6

·        Jeremiah 23:7-8

·        Jeremiah 30-31

·        Jeremiah 32:36-44

·        Ezekiel 34:25-31

·        Ezekiel 36:6-12 and 22-38

·        Ezekiel 37:12-14 and 21-23

          Jewish people.

·        2009  Sacrificial altar constructed for the third temple.

·        2010  A Kosher red heifer is alive and well in Israel.

OTHER END TIME SIGNS

Global Financial Crisis            Persecution of Jews                 Revival in Middle East

One World Government        Persecution of Christians           Increase in False Religions

One World Currency            Anti-Israel    `                            False Doctrine

Sexual Immorality                  Fighting over Jerusalem            Earthquakes/volcanoes

Disregard for Human Life      Talk of Middle East Peace        Unusual Natural Events

Diseases / Pestilence            Famine                                        Signs in the Heavens

Mark of the Beast                Increase of Knowledge

Mark of the Beast

This is another technology based sign.

This may take the form of a computer chip being implanted under the skin.

Currently being used at vacation spots in tropical areas.

Recent political support for medical records instead of bracelets or cards.

Currently being used as tracking devices in animals and criminals.

ObamaCare health plan has provisions for mandatory implanted chips into US citizens.

Keep in mind that each sign is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle.  One piece or even 2 to 3 pieces of the puzzle cannot show you the picture.  It takes all the pieces coming together to reveal the complete picture.

All these signs point to the return of Christ as Lord of lords and King of kings.

The Bible tells us that the signs are like a woman’s labor pains in giving birth.   That analogy indicates the signs will become more intense and more frequent the closer we get to the 2nd coming of Christ.

Anyone that watches world news realizes that Israel is in the news constantly.

The media and countries around the world are becoming increasing critical of Israel and Israel’s activities.  This is to be expected if you read and believe Zechariah  12:2-3  which says:    READ

Tomorrow night we will look at 2 important battles that have not yet been fulfilled; the differences between these two battles and how they are related to the Tribulation Period.  We will also discuss the Rapture and where and how that event may fit into end time events.

QUESTIONS

If David will come up then we will entertain any questions about what we have covered so far?

BREAK or Invitation

Even though we plan on being here tomorrow night to finish Part 2 of this presentation, we never know when our last moments on this earth will be.  We are not guaranteed tomorrow; therefore, I want to make sure before we leave tonight that everyone understands HOW to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior AND to offer the opportunity to ask Jesus to save you.

How does someone accept Jesus Christ and become a child of God?

·        Admit that you are a sinner and need God’s mercy and His grace.

·        Confess your sins to God and ask God to forgive you.

·        Believe God’s Word when it says:

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”  1 Corinthians 15:3-4

And

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

·        Ask Jesus to come into your life as you Lord and savior.

If you are ready to make that decision then you come forward as the music plays and take Pastor ______ hand and he will pray with you.

Part 2 (A quick review before starting)

In February 2010 the Prime Minister of Israel, while speaking at a Holocaust memorial service, testified to the world that Ezekiel 37 has been fulfilled, which is the restoration of Israel and the regathering of the Jews.

As discussed previously, the Jews are aggressively preparing for the next temple which is described beginning in Ezekiel 40 and seen being desecrated by the Anti-Christ in the middle of the tribulation period.

If Ezekiel 37 has been fulfilled (partially fulfilled) and bible prophecy starting in Ezekiel 40 is in the process of being fulfilled, then just how close are we to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39?

·        The alliances mentioned in Ezekiel 38 between Magog, Persia and Put (Russia, Iran and Libya) have been formed within the last few years.

·        Within the last 24 months Israel has announced the discovery of huge reservoirs of oil and natural gas which could be part of the reason for the invasion mentioned in Ezekiel 38:12-13.

·        However, Ezekiel 38:11 describes Israel as secure, confident, peaceful and unsuspecting.  This prerequisite to the Battle of Gog and Magog does not exist today mainly because of the continuous threats from Israel’s immediate neighbors.  Something has to happen in order for Israel to fill secure and confident within their borders.  This change in Israel’s attitude will come as a result of the battle mentioned in Psalm 83 and the destruction of Damascus mentioned in Isaiah 17.

PSALM 83 BATTLE

Another yet unfulfilled biblical battle is receiving increased attention because of its importance in setting up the conditions for the Battle of Gog and Magog.  Psalm 83 lists a coalition of participants that are the very same forces that continuously threaten Israel today.  The participants in Psalm 83 are the same ones missing from the list of participants for the Battle of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38.

READ  Psalm 83

                                                                                        List of Psalm 83 Participants

                                     Biblical Name                                                     Today’s Name

                                      Ammon                                                                Northern Jordan, Palestinians

Hagrites                                                       These three groups represent people

Gebal                                                           groups living from Sinai Peninsula

                                      Amalek                                                         along the Jordan/Saudi border

                                      Philistia                                                                 Gaza Strip

                                      Tyre                                                                      Lebanon

Children of Lot                                                      Moab and Ammon (Palestinians)

Kingdom of Assyria                                              Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria,

                                                                                                                   Lebanon and Egypt

These people groups represent family feuds that go back approx. 4000 years to the time of Abraham.

·        Phrase “Tents of” refers to temporary dwelling/house of common people living within an area.

·        Edom, Ishmaelites, Moab, Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, Tyre

Assyria is the only kingdom/empire mentioned

In the Old Testament you can read about God’s judgment on these people groups.

The outcome of the Psalm 83 battle is that Israel wins and that God’s uses Israel to bring extremely harsh judgment against Edom and Damascus.

·        Who does Edom represent?

o   Descendents from Esau (Brother of Jacob(later called Israel))

o   Edomites migrated to Hebron when Israel was sent into exile

o   Hebron still exist today --- West Bank

o   Who lives in the West Bank today? Palestinians

o   Today’s Palestinians trace their heritage back to Edomites, Moabites, and Ammonites

o   Lands once occupied by Edomites, Moabites, and Ammonites are now known as Jordan.

·        Ishmaelites – Abraham’s 1st son

o   Eventually settled in area now known as Saudi Arabia

o   City of Mecca found in Saudi Arabia contains Islam’s holiest site.

o   Muhammad claimed to be a descendant of Ishmaelites

·        Tyre – found in Southern Lebanon

·        Hagrites – Gebal – Amalek – people groups along the Jordan/Saudi Arabia border

·        Philistia – once occupied by Philistines

o   Now known as Gaza Strip

·        Descendents of Lot = Moab and Ammon (Palestinians)

·        Assyria – the only kingdom or empire mentioned.

o   Occupied parts of Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and all the way down to Egypt

o   Psalm 83:8

Outcome of Psalm 83 Battle

o   Psalm 83:13-18

o   God’s judgment is extremely harsh for Edom.

·        Edom

o   Ezekeil 25: 13-14  (also Ezekiel 35)

o   What happens?  Edom will be laid to waste.

o   Who does God use to bring judgment against Edom?  Israel

o   Jeremiah 49:8  Turn and flee, hide in deep caves, you who live in Dedan (Saudi Arabia), for I will bring disaster on Esau at the time I punish him.

o   Obadiah – Edom’s destruction

§  verses 15-18

§  (v. 15) Timing of God’s judgment?  “The day of the Lord is near for all nations.”

§  (v. 17) Outcome – Israel will possess its inheritance

§  (v.18) Who does God use to bring judgment against Edom?  Israel

§  (v. 18) What is the judgment?  “There will be no survivors from the house of Esau.”

Outcome of Isaiah 17

·        Damascus – oldest continuously occupied city in world and located in Syria

o   God’s judgment is extremely harsh for Damascus.

o   What happens to Damascus? Isaiah 17    Why?

o   Where are the enemies of Israel currently meeting to plan attacks against Israel?  Damascus

o   Where are the headquarters for every known Middle East terrorist organization?  Damascus

·        What will be the world’s response to this war and to destruction of Damascus?  Isaiah 17:12

At the conclusion of the Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 battles Israel has neutralized the immediate neighbors that had called for Israel’s destruction.  Israel is secure, confident and unsuspecting in its expanded borders and this fulfills the prerequisite for the battle of Gog and Magog.

HOW CLOSE ARE WE TO THIS PSALM 83 BATTLE?

·        LIST of events over the last 12 months

After the Psalm 83 battle is finished then the Ezekiel 38:11 description of Israel will be a reality.  Israel is described as being secure, confident, peaceful, unsuspecting and worth plundering.

BATTLE OF GOG AND MAGOG

The Psalm 83 battle is the precursor and catalyst for the Battle of Gog and Magog and there is not much time between the two.

Why do I say that?

·        Israel’s immediate neighbors are not listed in Ezekiel 38 because Israel has conquered them and they have not recovered.

Look at recent history.

·        In 1967 and 1973 Russia intended to invade Israel after Russian trained and equipped nations were defeated by Israel.

Why didn’t Russia attack Israel?

·        In 1967 and 1973 God used Israel’s strongest ally, the United States, to shield Israel which caused Russia to back down and not invade Israel.

In the summer of 2009 there was strong talk by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  She said, if Iran attacks Israel then the USA will retaliate.

Notice the Difference?

In 1967 and 1973 USA shielded Israel to prevent attack from enemies.

Today, USA threatens to retaliate after an attack on Israel.

Who is involved in the Battle of Gog and Magog?   Ezekiel 38:1-13

                                                                                                                                            List of Ezekiel 38 Participants

                                                    Biblical Name                                                                                      Today’s Name

                                                    Gog                                                                                                   Commander / leader

Magog, Rosh                                                                                     Russia and former Soviet states

                                                    Persia                                                                                                 Iran

Cush                                                                                                  Sudan, Ethiopia and possibly Eritrea

                                                    Put                                                                                                     Libya, Algeria and Tunisa

Gomer, Meshech and Tubal                                                                Germany, Turkey and possibly Austria

Beth-Togarmah                                                                                    Turkey, Armenia and the Turkish speaking

people of Asia Minor and Central Asia

There is something different about this battle.  What is it?

·        GOD SHOWS UP!!!  The Sovereign Lord of Israel shows up to fight for Israel.  Ezekiel 38:18-23;  Ezekiel 39:4-8 and 21-22.

·        Unlike Psalm 83 battle, God does not use Israel to bring about His judgment on Israel’s attackers.

·        No ally shows up to help Israel.

·        God reveals himself to Israel and to many nations.  God fights for Israel like in the days of the Old Testament.

·        The way God reveals himself is consistent with the times of ancient Israel but not consistent with the church age.   John 20:29   2 Corinthians 5:7

What happens as a result of this battle?

·        God uses this battle to turn Israel and the hearts of the Jews back to Him.  Spiritual awakening.  Partial blindness is removed.

·        Jews from all over the world will move back to Israel (which will be much larger than today’s Israel).

·        The Jews will build the next temple in order to honor, glorify and worship the sovereign Lord of Israel, the God of Abraham-Isaac-Jacob.

·        World in turmoil.  Oil supplies uncertain.  Large # of people will have just disappeared.

·        World will cry out for peace and stability.

·        A 7-year peace treaty will be signed with Israel.  The signing of this treaty starts the 70th week of Daniel also known as the tribulation period.

More about the 7-year treaty

·        Is this treaty needed in order to protect Israel from another attack?

o   Absolutely Not!!  To say that this 7-year treaty is to protect Israel is to be inconsistent with the Old Testament.

o   In the Old Testament, other countries, nations and/or kingdoms sought peace with Israel because they feared Israel.  More importantly, because they feared the God of Israel.

·        Is this treaty needed in order to give Israel permission to build the Jewish temple in Jerusalem?

o   No.  The Jews will have an unquenchable desire to praise and worship God and they will not need permission from anyone.  Besides, who is left to oppose them?  Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia Minor, Central Asia, Middle East, and Northern Africa will have just been defeated.

QUESTIONS BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT THE RAPTURE (removal of true believers and followers of Jesus Christ).

Read John 20:29 and 2 Corinthians 5:7 again.

Notice the difference between church age believers and non-church age believers.
RAPTURE

1       Corinthians 15:51-52

1       Thessalonians 1:10

1       Thessalonians 4:14-17

1       Thessalonians 5:8-10

2       Thessalonians 2:5-8

John 14:2-3

Revelation 3:10

Isaiah 26:19-21

Isaiah 57:1

Where does the removal of the church (rapture) fit into the time line?

·        The 70th seven (tribulation period) is for the Jews and Jerusalem.  The 70th seven is a continuation of the Old Testament.   Daniel 9:20-27

·        According to 2 Thess. 2:6-7 the Holy Spirit must be removed from the world before the Anti-christ can be revealed.  According to Ephesians 1:13-14, God seals believers with his Holy Spirit at the moment we believe and accept Christ as savior; therefore, in order to remove the Holy Spirit, the Lord must remove the believers.

·        We read in 1 Thess. 1:10 and 5:9 the church is not to go through the time of God’s wrath.

·        During the Battle of Gog and Magog, God reveals himself in a way consistent with the Old Testament where people believe because they see.  The church age saints believe by faith not by sight; therefore, the church is gone before the Battle of Gog and Magog.

·        Jews partially blind spiritually until church is removed.  Luke 19:41-42  Romans 11:25

·        Let us be clear. The removal of the church (rapture) can occur anytime between now and the Battle of Gog and Magog.

·        If the church is still here to see the Psalm 83 battle then that event should be the final wake up call to the church and the last push for evangelizing.

o   This is consistent with how God dealt with sinful people and nations in the past.  God gives a strong warning, allowing people the opportunity to repent before his judgment arrives.

QUESTIONS SO FAR?

This prophetic timeline is not the main or most important message!

Then what is the intended purpose of presenting this timeline?

·        To show believers the signs of Jesus’ return; the current events associated with those signs; and how little time is left to accomplish what He has called us to do.

Bible is an advanced warning of a horrendous and devastating storm.

·        A storm with eternal consequences

This storm warning (prophetic timeline)  reveals to us the recognizable signs of the fast approaching storm (Daniel’s 70th week/tribulation period) and the storm’s consequences (suffering, persecution and judgment – Book of Revelation).

But more importantly, God’s word tells us of an evacuation route before the storm arrives.  (Rapture/removal of all true Christians from earth)

The rest of what I will say tonight will “step on toes” including my own.  After I wrote my notes for what I am getting ready to share with you, I prayed and agonized over the message because it seemed to criticize and be harsh, but also urgent at the same time.  I seriously considered watering down the message BUT I serve a wonderful and awesome God!  A God that answers prayers and lets me know when I am in His will.

Sunday, May 23, 2010 was the first time David and I gave this part of the presentation.  On Thursday, May 20 just days before the presentation I was working in Kinston and ate lunch at Kings BBQ.  I was in line to pay for my lunch.  Two older ladies work behind the counter – one works the cash register and one takes call-in orders.

The lady taking phone orders was taking about reading Revelation.  Of course that got my attention and she saw me look at her.  She kept talking but was looking straight at me and said that she had not read Revelation in 40-years but the night before had read Revelation 3:10.  She said that scripture meant more to her now than it did before.

READ Revelation 3:10

On Friday, May 21, 2010, I was at home putting the final touches on my notes when David called and told me to get to a radio quick!  American Family Radio was interviewing Franklin Graham about Billy Graham’s new book—“Storm Warning” (the same words I had used in my notes).

Commentator     What message is Billy Graham trying to get across with this Book?

Franklin            His father wants everyone to “be ready for what is getting ready to happen.”

Commentator     What is God trying to tell us?

Franklin            two words, “Get Ready”

Franklin            We are living in the last days and we are closer than most people believe.  Jesus is coming again.  We are seeing signs and events that point to His coming.

Be prepared – Not scared – Just prepared

These are warnings from heaven and we better listen.

I have read Billy Graham’s book Storm Warning.  It is a very good read. The book talks about events associated with the Book of Revelation and the second coming of Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

As true believers and followers of Christ we will not be on earth during Daniel’s 70th week / 7-year tribulation period.

If Jesus were to come right now, this moment, is each one of us ready?  Are we prepared?  Will Jesus find us diligently working for Him or will he find a disobedient servant?

How many can honestly say, without any doubt, that you know Christ as Lord and Savior?

How many have family members that are lost spiritually?

How many have friends, coworkers, acquaintances that are lost spiritually?

How many are actively sharing the great, wonderful, life changing, life saving message of eternal life through Jesus Christ?

Here comes the toe stomping.

Individual Christians that are not actively witnessing have a lukewarm attitude and commitment which Jesus describes as disgusting and sickening.  They are not committed to serving Christ.  They are happy with status quo.  They are content in their spiritual immaturity

When Jesus gave what we know as the Great Commission, he was not making a suggestion, he was giving an order / a command.  As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we are commanded to share with unbelievers the message of salvation.

In addition to sharing the salvation message, we are to encourage fellow believers.

A common excuse is:

“I am not comfortable talking to people about salvation.”

Let me tell you something about that ‘comfort zone’.

Our “comfort zone” will be extremely uncomfortable when we bow before our Lord and He shows us our life and all the opportunities He provided but we missed those opportunities because we refused to be obedient.

When we realize that our “comfort zone” equals disobedience then we will realize that being obedient is more comfortable.

Everyone has to decide what to do about Christ!

Unbelievers must choose to either accept or reject Christ.

If you do not know Christ as Savior and you leave tonight without accepting Christ as your personal savior then you are taking a huge risk with your soul.

How does one accept Christ and become a child of God?

Admit that you are a sinner and need God’s mercy and grace.

Confess your sins to God and repent (turn away from those sins).

Believe God’s word when it says,

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”  1 Corinthians 15:3-4

And

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

Ask Jesus to come into your life as your Lord and savior.

Everyone has to decide what to do about Christ!

Believers must choose to either obey or disobey Christ.

Will Jesus find you witnessing to others?

Are you ready?  -prepared?  -alert?  -longing for His return?  -looking up?

(Pause)

The urgent message that God placed on my heart and David heart is this:

The Lord Jesus Christ is coming again-- soon!!

Ready or not – He is coming.

Believe it or not – He is coming.

Are you ready to meet the Lord face to face?

If you are not ready for that meeting then now is the time to get ready.

Time of invitationbow your heads while the music plays.  Not singing.  Each person here needs to listen to and obey the calling of the Holy Spirit.

Music

If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then…

·        Step out right now and come down front and take either David’s hand my hand or your pastor’s hand and pray to receive Christ as your savior.

·        That is the most important decision you will ever make.

·        Delaying just allows Satan a chance to change your mind.

If you are a Christian and the Holy Spirit is convicting you of your laziness, comfort zone and disobedience then…

·        Walk to front of the church and fall on your knees.

·        Repent and ask forgiveness.

·        Rededicate your life to God.

·        Ask God to build an unquenchable fire in your spirit so you will boldly proclaim the Lord until He comes.

Last verse – stop fighting with the Holy Spirit – just obey.

Is it biblically correct to say “We will not know the day or the hour of Christ’s return”?

Yes, it’s biblically correct to say we will not know the

day or hour of Christ’s return.

         Matthew 24:36

         Mark 13:32

However, is it biblically correct to say, “There will be a time in history that the church will be able to recognize the signs and understand that Christ’s return is drawing near”?

Yes, absolutely!  From the Old Testament through the

New Testament we are given many signs, events, and

warnings that relate to the end days.  Why would God

give us these signs if it wasn’t meant for us to see or

        understand them?

Reading Matthew 24, Christ gives us many signs to

to be aware of concerning His return.  Then He gives

the parable of the fig tree;  Matthew 24:32-35.  In this

parable he connects seeing and knowing to the

        closeness of His return.

Also, please turn to Luke 21:25-28.  Christ is telling us

specific signs that lead up to His return.  Then He

states, “But when these things begin to take place,

stand up and lift up your heads, because your

        redemption is drawing near!”

Therefore, we will be able to see and know that Christ’s return is drawing near.

We all have heard Christ’s return will be like a thief in the night.  However, this is not necessarily true to those of us who are watching and aware of His coming.

        Revelation 3:3

The statement is made “If you don’t wake up or if

you are not alert I will come like a thief, and you have

no idea what hour I will come against you”.   Now ask

yourself, “what if I do wake up or I am alert”? Then

His return will not be like a thief in the night. The key

is, we must know what the bible tells us concerning

Christ’s return; then begin to wake up to what is going

on around us (meaning the past and the present).

        1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Please read verses 1-3 and note the differences

compared to verses 4-5.  It is made very clear. We,

the church, are different so this day (talking about

Christ’s return) won’t overtake us like a thief in the

        night.

True, we won’t know the day or the hour, but God has

blessed us with the ability to know His return is drawing near.

Remember, we must know what God’s word says and we must

“Wake up and be alert!”

Biblical Evidence for Pre-Trib Rapture

Will the removal of the believers and followers of Jesus Christ (church) occur before, during or after the seven years of tribulation?

Point 1)  – not to suffer God’s wrath and judgment

 Scriptures:

1 Thessalonians 1:10  “…Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.”

1 Thessalonians 5:9  “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 3:10  Keep believers from the hour of trial.

Isaiah 57:1  “…righteous taken away to be spared from evil.”

Point 2)  – 70th week of Daniel is for Jews and Jerusalem.

Scriptures:

Daniel 9:24 and 27

Point 3)  – church must be removed before the man of lawlessness (man known as the Anti-Christ) can be revealed.

Scriptures:

2       Thessalonians 2:5-8

Point 4)  -- Before the battle of Gog and Magog

Scriptures:

John 20:29  “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.”

2 Corinthians 5:7  “We live by faith, not by sight.”

During the Battle of Gog and Magog, God reveals himself in a way consistent with the Old Testament but not consistent with the church age.

Ezekiel 38:21-23

Ezekiel 39:7, 21-22

Point 5)  -- Church must be removed before the spiritual awakening of Jews occurs.

Scriptures:

Luke 19:41-42

Romans 11:25

Ezekiel 36:24-28, 31-32   remove heart of stone … Israel will be ashamed of their past.

Ezekiel 37:12-14

Ezekiel 39:7, 22, 27-29

Scriptures clearly teach that the removal of the true believers and followers of Christ (rapture of the church) will occur before the tribulation period, in fact before the Battle of Gog and Magog.

Letter to those left behind

July 2011

A letter to those left behind,

It is very important that you read this entire letter.  Pay attention to the news from around the world and compare the content of this letter and world events to God’s word, the Bible.  You may not believe or understand at first but please keep reading.

Check the news to determine if millions of people have suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from all around the world.  If millions of people have indeed disappeared then let us tell you the truth about what has happened.  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has taken his true followers (Christians) out of this world in an event known as the rapture and those people are now in heaven.  Unborn and newborn babies, as well as young children have also been taken to heaven so they will not face what is about to happen.  God is bringing about judgment on all people still on earth.  A period of time known as the Tribulation Period has begun or is about to begin.  The Tribulation Period will involve horrible suffering beyond imagination and will last 7 years.  Billions of people will die during this time.  That is just the reality of the situation but there is still hope, an eternal hope!!

God loves you!  God still wants you to be in heaven forever!

Please keep reading.

That hope – eternal hope – is found by knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  How can you know Jesus as Savior?  I am glad you asked!

·            Admit you are a sinner and that you need God’s forgiveness and mercy.

·            Believe that God loves you so much that He sent his own son, Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross.  According to God’s word, the Bible, a sacrifice must be given so that sins could be forgiven.  Your sins can be forgiven because Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross for you.  Three days after His death, Jesus arose from the tomb and conquered death.  Today Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven.

·            Confess all your sins to God and ask for his forgiveness.

·            Surrender to Jesus by asking Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

·            Thank Jesus for forgiveness of your sins.

·                Be baptized.  Baptism is not required for salvation but it is an act of commitment and obedience to Christ and demonstrates that you are not ashamed to be a believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

·            Never be ashamed or deny God or Jesus even when someone threatens to kill you.  This is very important because your salvation and eternal hope will be lost if you deny Jesus.

People that die proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Savior will live forever with God’s love in heaven.  People that deny Jesus will live forever with God’s punishment in the Lake of Fire.

Do not deny Jesus Christ!!

Has the Tribulation Period of 7 years already started?

In order to answer this question I need to ask two more questions:

·            Have Russia, Iran and several other countries attacked Israel?

·            Has a 7-year treaty been signed with Israel?

If the 7-year treaty has been signed with Israel then the answer is “Yes” the Tribulation Period has begun.  The world leader that brings about the 7-year treaty cannot be trusted!  Do not listen to him!  Do not accept him as God!  Do not receive his mark on your hand or forehead (known as the mark of the beast)!  Do not deny Jesus!

We are writing this letter to you to tell you there is still hope - an eternal hope - to go to heaven.  You are living in a time of chaos, suffering, deception and violence.  The following pages are provided to help you better understand what God says about the future.  Our hope and prayer for you is that one day we will stand side-by-side in heaven praising, worshipping, and honoring God.

Humble believer and follower of Jesus Christ

What should you expect while you are still living in this world?

·                Dramatic increase in violence and crimes.

·              Difficulty in finding food.

·                        Increased violence against the believers and followers of Jesus Christ.

·            Spend time praying and seeking God’s will every day.

·                 Share the message of God’s eternal hope through Jesus Christ as Savior.

·            Do not listen to preachers that do not agree with what the Bible teaches.

·                   Lend support both physically and spiritually to others that put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

·            Watch for the two Jewish witnesses that will appear in Jerusalem, Israel.  (Revelation 11:3-6)

·            Watch for the 144,000 Jewish evangelists that will preach to the world the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.  (Revelation 7:1-9)

A Future Warning For Israel and the World . . .

How has the world reacted to such a profound fulfillment of Bible prophecy?  A miracle that can be proven and documented by simply looking at the Bible and a map ... and then simply adding the years.   It has ignored it!   Just as God has warned most of the world will ignore the Bible warnings of the coming 'Apocalypse' (also called the 'Time of Jacob's (Israel's) Trouble', the 'Great Tribulation,' and the 'Day of God's Wrath.')  For the Bible also warns a series of terrible prophetic events which will change the world forever would begin to unfold immediately after Israel became a Nation in 1948!   If you diligently study the prophecies and watch the world news from a Biblical perspective you will soon find many of the prophetic events the Bible warns us about are now in the process of being fulfilled!  God also promises to shelter and protect all those who will sincerely return to Him in love and in faith before the coming time of trouble.  Remember, God uses prophecy to prove He is who He says His is, and to authenticate all the warnings and the promises found in the Bible . . .

The Most Important Prophetic Warning Found in the Bible . . .

Our eternal destiny ... Heaven or Hell.   Please remember, the Bible tells us Heaven is available to every man, woman, boy, and girl in this world, no matter who they are, where they live, what they have done, or how old they are.  Eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven is freely offered ... the Bible tells us Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah, is "King of kings and Lord of lords"... King above both Earth and Heaven.  Learn of Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah, invite Him into your life as Lord and Savior, believe He died on the Cross for all of your sins and rose from the grave (which fulfilled Bible prophecies and proved there is life waiting for us in either Heaven or in Hell after this body dies).  Learn of Him and believe in Him ... for He was the only one who ever loved you enough to substitute Himself for you on the Cross.  He lovingly paid your debt.  The Bible clearly warns we can't 'earn' our way into Heaven by our 'good deeds.'  Jesus shed His blood, suffered, and died on the Cross to save us from our sins and from the utter darkness of Hell, if you will accept it, believe it, and trust in it.  That is why Jesus-Yeshua is called Savior.  He now lovingly and graciously offers life in Heaven (and we are warned it is a "take it or leave it" proposition.)  We have to consciously receive it and accept it in faith.  If you sincerely admit you have sinned, and ask Jesus-Yeshua to come into your life, and repent by honestly trying to stop doing (and saying) all those things God says are wrong and are against His Law, you will go to Heaven ... and with open arms and tears of joy He will receive all who will come to Him in faith and in love ...  It's God's Promise!!!

The only unpardonable sin is to reject God's love by rejecting Jesus-Yeshua, the promised Messiah, who lovingly and willingly died for our sins ... who stepped forth from Heaven and put on the form of Man ... to save sinners ... lots of them ... any and all who would believe and trust in Him ... from the eternal loneliness, darkness, and torment of Hell.  He willingly and lovingly shed His innocent blood on the Cross so we can be washed clean of all our sins.  He took the penalty for all of our sins upon Himself.  But, we have to believe it, accept it, and receive it in our hearts, in faith.   God, our Creator, warns there will be no peace in our hearts until we make peace with Him through His Son, Jesus-Yeshua, the promised Messiah, who died for us, so we might live in Heaven through Him.  The Bible also warns there will be no peace in Israel or on Earth until the Messiah returns . . .

The Bible Warns There Is No Other Way Into Heaven . . .

Jesus knew what was about to happen when He prayed, "If there is any other way" three times in the garden the night before He was crucified. He was telling us something very important.  If you believe there was, or is, any other way to gain entrance into Heaven other than believing in the One who suffered for our sins on the Cross, then you must deny the Bible is God's Word and believe Jesus simply suffered and died needlessly and in vain on the Cross.  However, God tells us in the Bible Jesus-Yeshua, the promised Messiah, lovingly laid down His life for you and for me so we might one day enter into His Kingdom of Heaven ...

In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."

The Jews missed the prophetic signs of Jesus’ first coming.

How many ‘Christians’ are missing or refusing to believe the prophetic signs of Jesus’ second coming?

Where is the USA in prophecy?

Click here to download a PDF of this document

Where is the USA in prophecy?

There is no direct / specific reference to USA.

In Genesis the Bible tells us that God blesses those that bless Israel and God curses those who curse Israel.

In Zechariah the Bible tells us that God will harshly judge those who try to divide Jerusalem.

In Ezekiel there is reference to the lion-like cubs (villages or settlements) of Tarshish which could be a vague reference to the USA since we were a colony (offspring) of Spain and/or Britain.

Let’s look at society in general in the USA during

1940/50’s              the 1980’s           and 2011.

Commitment to family and family values

Importance of God’s word in daily lives

Fear / reverence of God

Respect for others

Sexual immorality

Homosexuality

Abortion

Caring for the elderly

Personal debt

National debt

Support for Israel

You can see how very far we have fallen way from God in one generation.

Add to that the Rapture (the removal of a large part of the US population) (removal of the restrainer).

Add to that the unleashed unrestrained evil into this country and you can begin to realize the evil chaos this country will experience.

At that time this country (and world) will be ripe / ready for a world leader.
